At Hairy Heifer Cattle Company, we raise a small number of Mini Highland calves each year — from traditional Minis to true Micro Minis. Every calf is handled daily, evaluated for structure and temperament, and placed carefully with families who understand and appreciate the breed.

Whether you’re looking for a pasture companion, a future foundation cow, or a gentle family-friendly Mini, this is where we list all currently available calves. Every listing includes photos, details, temperament notes, pricing, and current status.

How our Calves are Raised

Our calves are raised here on pasture in the Texas Hill Country, either alongside their dams or through our bottle-baby program, depending on their genetics and start in life. Many of our calves come from IVF dairy embryos and are bottle-raised from day two or three, which means they’re handled constantly, used to people, and exceptionally gentle. Calves raised on their dams are interacted with daily, exposed to feed routines, basic pressure, dogs, equipment, and everyday ranch life.

No matter how they start, every calf is evaluated for confidence and disposition, giving buyers steady, well-socialized calves that settle easily into new homes.
